| Message from the band |
I heard about Big Japan for the first time when the band's name was different. I had the chance to get a few e-mails from a girl living in the San Diego area: she had visited the set of "The O.C." and kindly shared a few photos she had taken on that occasion with me. She knew that I was a huge fan of Adam Brody's and told me that he's in a band called "Steven's Team".
After some time, the members changed their name to "Big Japan".
The band is made up of four talented artists. Some of the people who had been playing in the band aren't in it anymore. The current members are: Nathanial Castro, Bret Harrison, Adam Brody and Brad Babinski.
Nathanial and Bret were introduced in Portland by Nathanial's roommate, a friend of Bret's. When Nathanial moved to LA, they shared an apartment. Nathanial, Bret, Adam, Tyler Frankavilla and Marcus Coloma used to hang out and talk about music all the time (Adam Brody had been a rommate of Bret's too). Adam, Nathanial, Bret and Tyler started playing together as the "Stevens Team". They worked on songs such as Bob, Hollywood Marriage, Promise QS and Stupid (some written by Nathanial and some by Adam). After some time Marcus replaced Frank and the band changed their name in "Big Japan".
